MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511116922 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'intelligent buddha statue for interactive meditation and mindfulness.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a Smart Buddha Statue integrated with IoT and artificial intelligence technologies to enhance meditation and mindfulness practices. The statue comprises sensors that detect user presence or gestures to activate guided Buddhist chants, teachings, or meditative sounds. An AI-based tool translates and interprets ancient Buddhist texts, while built-in feedback sensors monitor posture, breathing, and heart rate to provide real-time guidance. The system includes adaptive lighting, a personalization module, and a companion mobile application for remote operation and progress tracking. The invention is suitable for use in meditation halls, Buddhist monasteries, yoga and wellness centers, and personal spaces to promote relaxation, learning, and spiritual engagement through an interactive medium."
