MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547096036 A) filed by Google Llc, Mountain View, U.S.A., on Oct. 6, for 'integrating live television content from multiple sources in an electronic program guide of a media platform.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "According to an aspect, a method includes receiving a request for electronic programming guide data from a television device, retrieving a list of television channels associated with a plurality of providers, constructing, using configuration data, a plurality of navigation groups, each of the plurality of navigation groups being a separate group of television channels, retrieving program data that identifies programs broadcasted by the list of television channels, and transmitting electronic programming guide data to the television device. The electronic programming guide data is configured to cause the television device to display a selectable user interface (UI) element corresponding to each of the plurality of navigation groups in a portion of an electronic programming guide."
