MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105028 A) filed by Chitkara University; and Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation, Rajpura, Punjab, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'integrated propeller protector system for drones.'

Inventor(s) include Ansh; Hridyanshu Kashyap; Harbani Sharma; Bhanu Sharma; Rahil Sharma; and Nitin Goyal.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An integrated propeller protector system for drones, comprising a propeller guard 101 is installed around the drone's propellers, designed to protect them from physical damage, a LiDAR module 102 capture detailed dimensional profiles of the propellers, detecting dents, deformations, or deviations, and generates alerts over a computing unit accessible to an operator, an anemometer measures wind speed and direction near the propellers, providing data for real-time flight stabilization and control adjustments, an extendable wing flap assembly 103 is attached atop the propeller guard 101, with wing flaps capable of dynamically adjusting lift and drag to maintain stability during wind disturbances, an anti-electrostatic charge dispersion module 105 is installed within the propeller guard 101 to detect and neutralize static buildup, preventing interference and dust attraction, a dust sensor on the inner surface detects accumulation, and a vibrating unit 106 dislodges dust by inducing mechanical vibrations."
