MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521008071 A) filed by Om Kaushalbhai Patel, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Jan. 31, 2025, for 'integrated neck and face protection system for high-risk environments named as nescar (neckshieldcum-armour).'
Inventor(s) include Om Kaushalbhai Patel.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Integrated Neck and Face Protection System for High-Risk Environments named as NeSCAr (NeckShield-Cum-Armour) designed for high-risk environments, such as military, law enforcement, and security operations. The outermost layer Rayon Lycra (1) provides elasticity, breathability, and durability, while the underlying Kevlar (2) layers offer resistance to cuts, stabs, and abrasions. Positioned between the Kevlar (2) layers is an interlaced Aluminium chain (3) that disperses impact forces and improves protection against sharp objects. The U-foam (5) layer absorbs shocks and enhances comfort. The design also includes a Velcro (6) closure system for adjustable fit and quick donning and doffing. The layers are securely connected using double stitching to ensure durability and structural integrity under high-stress conditions. The system's advanced design ensures comprehensive protection against sharp, blunt, and impact forces, providing optimal safety and flexibility for the wearer in demanding environments."
