MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061973 A) filed by Sri Krishna College Of Engineering And Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on May 15, for 'integrated multipurpose culinary knife with slicing, mincing, grating and measuring functions.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a multipurpose culinary knife designed to perform multiple food preparation tasks using a single handheld device. The knife comprises a slicing blade (1.1) connected to an ergonomically designed handle (7) through a bolster (2), ensuring structural stability and balance. The knife integrates a garlic mincer (4) and a wasabi grater or grinder (5) on its lower surface, enabling efficient processing of ingredients without requiring additional tools. The handle (7) includes a teaspoon measurement marking (7.2), rubber gripper (7.4), and grip grooves (7.5) to enhance usability and safety. A blade slip (1.2) and silicone protecting cover (3) are provided to prevent accidental injury during storage and handling. The invention offers a compact, hygienic, and space-saving solution suitable for domestic, professional, and portable culinary applications."
