MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521110512 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Nov. 12, 2025, for 'integrated iot based system for real-time urban stray dog management.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an IoT-based system (100) for real-time management and welfare of urban stray dogs. The system (100) integrates multimodal sensors, edge AI modules, cloud analytics, and user interfaces to enable automated detection, identification, tracking, and health monitoring of stray dogs. Data captured by sensors is processed at the edge and transmitted to a cloud platform for storage, analysis, and generation of digital identities. A mobile or web application delivers alerts and coordinates feeding, vaccination, and sterilization actions through connected agencies. The invention promotes efficient, data-driven, and collaborative stray dog management within smart city ecosystems."
