MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020715 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'insulator installation device for outdoor transmission wires.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Bhawna Tandon; Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur; Anmol Bhatia; and Diljot Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An insulator installation device for outdoor transmission wires, comprising a cuboidal body 1 developed to be positioned in proximity to parapet/roof top of a building, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 2 installed on the body 1 to detect the presence of transmission wires in proximity to the building, a multi-sectioned chamber 3 arranged on the body 1 stored with hollow insulator pipes, a primary robotic arm 4 installed on the body 1 for positioning a particular pipe over a holding slot configured on the body 1, motorized cutter 5 installed on the body 1 for cutting the pipe, an electric glue gun 6 installed on the body 1 for dispensing an adhesive liquid on the wire and a flap 7 installed on the body 1 for providing a shade to the wires."
