MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097324 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Oct. 9, for 'insulation coating treatment liquid for grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet, method for producing same, and method for producing grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet.'

Inventor(s) include Takatani, Shinsuke; Takeda, Kazutoshi; and Shibayama, Atsushi.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is an insulation coating treatment liquid for a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet, the insulation coating treatment liquid containing a phosphoric acid metal salt of one or two or more metals selected from among Na, Al, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, Zn, Co, Mo, V, W, and Zr, and colloidal silica, wherein the Na2O/SiO2 ratio of the Na amount in mass % in terms of Na2O and the Si amount in mass % in terms of SiO2 in the insulation coating treatment liquid is 0.5% to 10%."

The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/014017.
