MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517045872 A) filed by Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on May 13, for 'insulating resin composition for electric power cables, and electric power cable.'

Inventor(s) include Mieda Tetsuya; and Kanaya Takahiro.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides: an insulating resin composition for electric power cables, the insulating resin composition being capable of suppressing growth of a water tree and suppressing an increase in the dielectric loss tangent even in an environment having much moisture; and an electric power cable. This insulating resin composition for electric power cables contains a component (a), a component (b), and a component (c). The component (a) is an unmodified polyolefin resin. The component (b) is a resin which contains, as a constituent, at least one compound that is selected from among unsaturated organic acids and derivatives thereof. The component (c) is an ethylene copolymer which contains a carboxylic acid ester."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 28, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/012598.
