MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621007570 A) filed by All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Societys College Of Pharmacy, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 27, for 'instant goat milk-based herbal premix tea for lipid management.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sachinkumar Vinayak Tembhurne; Dr. Ashwini R. Madgulkar; Mr. Shubham Nitinkumar Gavade; and Ms. Nikita Narayan Gawhale.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an instant premix tea composition comprising goat milk powder and selected herbal ingredients, developed as a functional dietary beverage for supporting lipid metabolism and liver health. The composition was evaluated in a high-fat diet-induced hyperlipidemic Wistar rat model and compared with goat milk powder and atorvastatin. Administration of the instant premix tea for 60 days resulted in significant improvement in serum lipid parameters, fasting glucose levels, and liver enzyme profiles. Histopathological examination further revealed reduced hepatic fat accumulation and preservation of normal liver architecture. The formulation demonstrated superior protective effects compared to goat milk powder alone, while exhibiting a favorable safety profile. The findings indicate that the instant premix tea composition provides a non-pharmacological, nutritionally balanced option for dietary management of hyperlipidemia and associated hepatic alterations."
