MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023053 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'instant cooling device for beverage cans.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An instant cooling device for beverage cans, comprises of a circular platform 1 installed with a C-shaped frame 2 installed with a cylindrical hollow body 3 via a pair of links 4 segregated into compartments stored with beverage cans, a computing unit installed with a user-interface accessed by a user to input commands regarding a temperature at which cans are to cooled, an imaging unit 6 to detect presence of cans in the sections 7, an ultrasonic sensor to monitor presence of cans in the sections 7, an expendable motorized clamp 8 to grip the cans, a Peltier unit to cool-down the beverage cans, a motorized circular slider to rotate the clamp 8, an electric motor to rotate the link, a temperature sensor to detect temperature of the cans, and a speaker to notify the collects cans from the body."
