MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073638 A) filed by Ways Sas, Samois-sur-Seine, France, on Aug. 1, for 'installation for the thermal drying of wood by co2 sequestration.'

Inventor(s) include Raoult, Yann; and Carmassi, Guillaume.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a plant for the thermal drying of wood by CO2 sequestration, having at least one drying module (C1) for drying in a CO2 atmosphere and which comprises: a drying chamber (1), CO2 supply means (3), heating means (2), gas circulation means (4), means (600) for recirculating the CO2, metrological means (5), CO2 supply means (3), and a control computer system (6), characterized in that the gas circulation means (4) comprise a flow reversal module configured to allow the CO2 to be circulated in a first direction forming a closed-loop circulation duct for the CO2 gas mixture, and in a second direction of circulation, that is the reverse of the first direction, capable of making the thermal distribution in said drying chamber (1) more uniform."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 04, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/050163.
