MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044782 A) filed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., Tokyo, on May 8, for 'input device and operation button.'
Inventor(s) include Morimoto So; and Tadano Katsuhisa.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a novel input device that enables comfortable operation for a user who has difficulty feeling comfortable when operating conventional input devices. A controller (2000) comprises: a body (2100); a first operation button (2110) attached to the body; and a second operation button (2120E) attached to the body at a position different from the position of the first operation button. The first operation button has an upper surface part serving as an operation part with which the user performs an operation. The second operation button has an upper surface part (2123E) serving as an operation part with which the user performs an operation a portion of the upper surface part having an overhang (2132E) that covers a portion of the upper surface part of the first operation button."
