MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544081000 A) filed by Kanadevia Corporation, Osaka, Japan, on Aug. 26, 2025, for 'inorganic separation membrane production method.'

Inventor(s) include Gondo, Daisuke; Shinoya, Kentaro; and Okada, Masashi.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for producing at least two types of inorganic separation membranes exhibiting different levels of separation performance for mixed gases. 5 The method includes: a hydrothermal synthesis step of forming zeolite precursor layers on surfaces of porous supports by hydrothermal synthesis to obtain membrane intermediates including the porous supports and the zeolite precursor layers; a sintering step of sintering the membrane intermediates at a first sintering temperature to form inorganic separation membranes including zeolite layers and 10 the porous supports, the zeolite layers being sintered products derived from the zeolite precursor layers; a selecting step of selecting first separation membranes with a separation performance equal to or greater than a predetermined level from the inorganic separation membranes; and a re-sintering step of sintering some of the first separation membranes at a second sintering temperature to obtain second 15 separation membranes with separation performance lower than that of the first separation membranes."
