The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable restraining device for mithun and other large bovine animals includes a top frame 12, side frames 14 with vertical supports 16, a rear panel 18, pointed ends 24 at lower portions of the frame, and ground tethering chains 20 for securing the device in soil. An anterior restraining portion is adjustable to accommodate different head sizes and horn configurations of calves, heifers, and adult animals. The device is formed as a rectangular iron-pipe structure with a top cover and posterior barrier that limit upward and rearward movement during sample collection, treatment, vaccination, artificial insemination, and related veterinary procedures. The pointed ends 24 and ground tethering chains 20 stabilize the device under field conditions, and the structure is foldable for transport and deployment in remote and forested areas. The device reduces animal stress, improves handler safety, and supports on-site restraint in free-ranging and semi-intensive systems."
