MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621024209 A) filed by Ve Commercial Vehicles Ltd., Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on Feb. 28, for 'injector clamp assembly for retaining a fuel injector within a cylinder head of ic engine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an injector clamp assembly (100) for retaining a fuel injector within a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, the assembly (100) comprising: a clamp body (102) configured to be mounted to the cylinder head by a fastening element; a rear support portion (104) arranged to abut a first mounting plane of the cylinder head; a front clamping portion (106) configured to engage an injector flange to retain the fuel injector within a combustion chamber; and an offset structure (108) interconnecting the rear support portion (104) and the front clamping portion (106). Further, the rear support portion (104), the front clamping portion (106), and a bolting region (110) of the clamp body (102) are positioned on different vertical planes relative to one another, thereby enabling secure injector retention within constrained packaging spaces while resisting combustion-induced forces."
