MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517048122 A) filed by Arkema France, Puteaux, France, on May 19, for 'injection molding compositions comprising recycled polyamides recovered upon exploitation of off-shore or on-shore oil or gas deposits.'

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a molding composition comprising, by weight: a) 35 to 100%, in particular 35 to 91.9, of at least one semi-crystalline aliphatic polyamide PA1 comprising at least 30%, in particular at least 50% of recycled semi-crystalline aliphatic polyamide PA2 recovered from used or end-of-life pipes for exploiting off-shore or on-shore oil or gas deposits, in particular off-shore oil or gas deposits, said recycled semi-crystalline aliphatic polyamide PA2 having undergone a washing and/or compounding step upon removing and grinding the pipe to form granules; b) 0 to 65%, in particular 5 to 50%, of at least one reinforcing fiber; c) 0 to 40%, in particular 3 to 30%, of at least one impact modifier; d) 0 to 30%, in particular 0 to 15%, of a filler, e) 0 to 10%, in particular 0.1 to 5%, of at least one additive, the sum of components a + b + c + d + e being 100%."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 10, 2023, under International application No.PCT/FR2023/051769.
