MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007485 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'injection administration assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Beemkumar Nagappan.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An injection administration assistive device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a portion of a user's hand where insulin is to be administrated, a strap 2 arranged on platform 1 for securing platform 1 on user's hand with an electromagnetic latch 3, an imaging unit 4 for capturing images of portion, a roller 5 wrapped with said strap 2 for preventing slipping of platform 1, a temperature sensor for detecting temperature of portion, a Peltier unit 6 for maintaining an optimum temperature to prepare portion for administration, an IR (Infrared) based vein detector for detecting location of veins, a projection unit 7 for indicating location of vein to assist user in administration of insulin, a chamber 8 for storing a numbing cream, an nozzle 9 for dispensing numbing cream to reduce intensity of pain experienced by user while administration."
