MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007455 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'ingrown toe nail correcting device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ingrown toe nail correcting device, comprising a housing 1 in which user places feet via an opening 3 which is detected by an imaging unit 4, a pair of telescopically operated rods 5 arranged inside housing 1 which extends towards toe to grip toe by a motorized clipper 6, a telescopic pusher 7 to push toe's nail, a pair of electromagnetic springs 8 each configured with a silicon pad 9 to push nail from sides to properly position nail, a laser sensor detects length of nail, a robotic link 10 configured with a cutting blade 11 for cutting nail plate, a robotic arm 14 configured with a filer 15 for filing nail plate, an electronic nozzle 13 connected with a chamber 12 for dispensing antimicrobial solution on nail in order to medicate it, and an air blower 16 for drying the nail of moisture is detected by moisture sensor."
