MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517060150 A) filed by Jasani, Yogen, Prescot, U.K., on June 24, for 'inflatable patient transfer mattress.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides an inflatable patient transfer mattress (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) comprising: a lower portion (110, 210, 310, 410) comprising a lower air- permeable region (120, 220, 320, 420) configured to allow for the transfer of air from within the mattress (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) to outside the mattress (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) therethrough; an upper portion (150, 250, 350, 450, 550) comprising an upper air-permeable region (160, 260,, 460, 560) configured to allow for the transfer of air from within the mattress (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) to outside the mattress (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) therethrough; and an air inlet (130, 230, 330) configured to allow for a supply of air to be provided into an inner region (175, 275) of the mattress (100, 200, 300, 400, 500), between the lower portion (110, 210, 310, 410) and the upper portion (150, 250, 350, 450, 550), therethrough."
