MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641041600 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education, Krishnankoil, Tamil Nadu, on April 1, for 'infant cradle with wetting detector and remote alert with lot camera interface.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An infant cradle monitoring arrangement is disclosed comprising wall mounting clamps (1) connected to a clamp supporting bar (2) supporting a cross suspension bar (3) carrying a cradle hook (4) for suspending a cradle (5). An infant placing bed (7) is positioned within the cradle (5) to provide comfortable support for an infant A moisture io sensor pad (6) located within the infant placing bed (7) detects presence of wetness generated due to infant urination and produces an electrical signal. A controller panel (TO) receives the electrical signal and generates an alert indication corresponding to wet condition. An loT interface (9) connected to the controller panel (10) transmits alert notification to a remote communication device through network connectivity. An image is camera (8) positioned relative to the cradle (5) captures visual information of infant posture and movement for remote monitoring. The integrated arrangement enables timely detection of wet cloth condition and improves infant hygiene management."
