MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023443 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 25, 2024, for 'infant carrying device for physically disabled parents.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An infant carrying device for physically disabled parents, comprising a V-shaped frame 1 having a first portion 2 and a second portion 3 developed to be positioned on a on a wheel chair, an AI-based image capturing module 4 for capturing multiple images of the wheel chair, telescopic clippers for gripping the frame 1 firmly, a drawer arrangement 5 to extend the platform 7 for accommodating an infant, a motorized roller to unwrap and position the strap 8 over the infant, an electromagnetic strip 6 to securely grip the infant over the platform 7, and a cushion pad to provide comfort to the infant."
