MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517093467 A) filed by Facc Ag, Ried im Innkreis, Austria, on Sept. 29, for 'induction welding method and device for induction welding.'
Inventor(s) include Adam, Rene Christian; and Becker, Stephan.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an induction welding method comprising the following steps: arranging a first join part (11) and a second join part (12); inductively preheating a joint (17) of the first join part (11) and of the second join part (12) from a starting temperature (TA) to a preheating temperature (TV) below a specified welding temperature (TS) by means of a first inductor (3), with the difference between the preheating temperature (TV) and the welding temperature (TS) being smaller than the difference between the starting temperature (TA) and the preheating temperature (TV); determining a process parameter which is required in order to heat the preheated joint (17) of the first join part (11) and second join part (12) to the welding temperature (TS), with the process parameter being determined on the basis of a temporal and/or spatial temperature curve of the preheated first join part (11) and/or second join part (12) and the specified welding temperature (TS); inductively heating the joint (17) to the welding temperature using the process parameter by means of the first inductor (3) or by means of a second inductor (4) which differs from the first inductor; and welding the first join part (3) to the second join part (4) at the joint (17)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 13, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/056643.
