MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521093331 A) filed by Novalead Pharma Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on Sept. 29, 2025, for 'improved topical formulation for treatment of chronic ulcers.'
Inventor(s) include Kulkarni Sudhir A; Aslekar Atul S; and Deshpande Supreet K.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention reports improved stable thermoreversible topical gel formulations of Esmolol hydrochloride as an active agent. The process for manufacturing the said gel leads to sterile stable formulation. The said formulations are useful for treatment of chronic ulcers like venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, burn wounds, arterial ulcers, treatment induced wounds, and others."
