MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202523030216 A) filed by Kanuda Aquapure Solutions Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 28, for 'improved solar thermal based water treatment system for impure and industrial wastewater.'
Inventor(s) include Laxman Shridhar Kane; and Prabhakar Shridhar Kane.
The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An improved solar thermal based water treatment system 100 and a process for treating impure / industrial wastewater is disclosed. The system 100 provides supplementary external heat to the wastewater inside a third unit 112 to achieve zero liquid discharge (ZLD) compliance requirement. The externally heated wastewater is evaporated inside a fourth unit 114 where the impure/wastewater is vaporized using solar incident radiation, external heat, forced circulation of air and forced hot wastewater recirculation. The system includes a second unit 106 that generates cold water from the impure non-potable water that is used inside an eight unit 130 to cool the purified warm water. The warm moist air is processed inside the sixth unit 124 to obtain purified water that is collected from an eleventh unit 136."
