MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341080644 A) filed by Granules India Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Nov. 28, 2023, for 'improved process for the preparation of amphetamine and derivatives thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Sampath Kumar Upparapalli; Venkateswara Rao Kalapala; and Pullela Venkata Srinivas.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an improved process for the preparation of amphetamine and it's derivatives thereof, using a silane reagent as a hydrogen source, which is economical, green and safe method with simple operation, mild conditions and high product purity."
