MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072060 A) filed by Moore Watson Limted, Falkirk, U.K., on July 29, for 'improved jaw crusher.'

Inventor(s) include Watson, Thomas Nicholas.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A jaw crusher is provided, the crusher comprising a frame (2) with a fixed jaw (8) and a moveable jaw (10) located within the frame such that the frame and jaws between them define a crushing volume. The moveable jaw (10) is mounted upon an eccentric shaft (30) such that the moveable jaw has a reciprocating crushing action. The crusher further comprises at least one biasing member (50) having a first end (54) connected to an upper portion of the moveable jaw (10), and a second end (56) connected to a fixed portion (53) of the frame (2). A lubricated shaft and a crusher including such a shaft, and a jaw crusher including a turbine for supplementary power generation, are also provided."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 30, 2024, under International application No.PCT/GB2024/050255.
