MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007505 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'impact reduction system for road accidents.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An impact reduction system for road accidents, comprising a pair of extendable frames 1 developed to be arranged on either sides of a road divider, a member 2 layered with a cushioned padding for reducing damaging of any approaching vehicle, a display panel 3 for enabling a concerned person to provide input, an imaging unit 4 works in sync with an ultrasonic sensor for capturing images and detecting distance of vehicle, a slider 5 for providing movement to multiple plates 6 for aligning plates 6 at an equidistant with each other, an air compressor integrated with multiple inflatable bags 7 for inflating bags 7 that acts as a shock absorber to reduce impact of collision on vehicle, a GPS (Global Positioning System) module for detecting real-time coordinates of collided vehicle which is sent over a concerned authority's computing unit to take necessary actions regarding collided vehicles."
