MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023989 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'impact bearing device for four wheelers.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An impact bearing device for four wheelers comprises of an extendable U-shaped frame 1 associated with the device having a first and second portion 3 incorporating an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 4 installed on the first portion 2 to determine length of the sway bar and position of lateral ends of the sway bar, a primary electromagnet 5 installed on the second potion on each tip of the frame 1 to firmly grip the sway bar, an ultrasonic sensor integrated within the frame 1 for determining distance of spindle of the wheel from the second portion 3, a telescopic rod 6 installed on each of lateral sides of the frame 1 for positioning a secondary electromagnetic circular plate 7 over the spindle, and a pair of electromagnetic shock absorbers 8 installed on the first portion 2 of the frame 1 to reduce the jerking of the vehicle."
