MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641006074 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 21, for 'imidazo[1,2-a]quinolinium compounds and preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the field of medicinal chemistry. Particularly, it relates to a novel class of cationic polycyclic heteroaromatic compounds (cPHACs) featuring the imidazo[1,2-a]quinolinium scaffold. It also relates to a process for preparing these compounds. These compounds are useful as an anticancer compound."
