MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024047 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'ice removing device for four-wheeler vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Sohan Lal; and Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ice removing device for four-wheeler vehicle, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface in proximity a four-wheeler vehicle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 mounted on the platform 1 for detecting exact location of the door handles and windscreen of the vehicle, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 3 installed on the platform 1 attached with a rectangular plate 4 for positioning the plate 4 in contact with door handles and windscreen, plurality of claw-shaped blades 5 installed with edges of the plate 4 for cutting out the ice, a heating unit 6 configured with the plate 4 for heating the plate 4 in view of melting the cut ice and an air blower 7 installed with the plate 4 for blowing air to remove snow/ice flakes from the vehicle."
