Inventor(s) include Dhananjay Raghunath Shinde; Amol Sadanand Deshpande; Anant Shrikant Ghotavadekar; and Milind Mohan Kulkarni.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hypoid gearbox assembly includes a ring gear configured to rotate about a drive wheel axis; a pinion gear configured to rotate about a pinion gear axis and engage the ring gear to transmit torque; a housing assembly supporting and enclosing the ring gear and the pinion gear; an eccentric carrier bracket, releasably coupled to the housing assembly, having a bearing surface that is offset from an outer diameter of the eccentric carrier bracket that is 10 configured to receive a portion of the pinion gear; and an eccentric pinion housing, releasably coupled to the housing assembly, having a bearing surface that is offset from an outer diameter of the eccentric pinion housing, and configured to receive another portion of the pinion gear, such that the eccentric carrier bracket and the eccentric pinion housing establish a first hypoid offset while coupled to the housing assembly at a first angular 15 position and a second, different hypoid offset while coupled to the housing assembly at a second angular position."
