MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511124853 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'hydrotherapy device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sangeeth Somanadhapai; and Dr. Sunil Singh Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hydrotherapy device, comprises of a cuboidal kiosk 101 with transparent and electrochromic glass walls and open top to enable doctors to monitor and assist a patient during hydrotherapy sessions, a first artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled camera 104 for authenticating a registered patient, a treadmill 105 attached on a plurality of telescopic rods 106 to adjust walking or running intensity, an inlet and an outlet pipe 107 for filling and draining water, a Peltier unit to control water temperature, a harness support arrangement to hold the patient in proper posture, multiple telescopic water nozzles 114 using ball and socket joints 115 to spray water on targeted body portions, a C-shaped dome 116 on an articulated link 117 to provide acupressure stimulation to the patient's feet, an engagement module to maintain patient attention using a second AI camera 119, a touchscreen panel 120 for doctor or patient interaction."
