MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124007 A) filed by Jayanta Parui; Dr. Malay Bhattacharjee; Gangam Harshith Reddy; Shiva Charan Goud Ambati; and M. Arun Lakshmi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'hydrogen on-demand reaction and intelligent zero-emission optimized network (horizon).'
Inventor(s) include Jayanta Parui; Dr. Malay Bhattacharjee; Gangam Harshith Reddy; Shiva Charan Goud Ambati; and M. Arun Lakshmi.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hydfogen-geiieratioh systeiS for a vehicle is disclosed, wherein hydrogen is produced oh demand through a controlled reaction of aluminium, calcium hydroxide, and water inside a sealed reaction chamber. The system features independently metered inlets for aluminium and a calcium-hydroxide solution, a variable water-injection mechanism, and a hydrogen outlet connected to a fiiel cell or electric motor drive. An loT- based control module regulates water flow, reagent feed, and reaction rate according to real-time vehicle power requirements, thereby enabling aluminium to function as a practical, high-energy-density fuel source. Reaction by-products are processed in an integrated sludge-separation assembly comprising a perforated sludge tube, steel-mesh filtration layer, water-holder reservoir, and pneumatically actuated sludge-discharge valve. Recovered water is routed to a purification subsystem for reuse in the reaction process. A thermoelectric generator captures reaction heat and converts it into electrical energy for battery charging and auxiliary loads, improving overall system efficiency. The combined architecture provides a closed-loop, selfregulating, on-board hydrogen production solution optimised for vehicular propulsion."
