MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517012275 A) filed by Adocia, Lyon, France, on Feb. 13, for 'hydrogels for cell therapy.'

Inventor(s) include Geissler, Alexandre; Laurent, Nicolas; Plancq, Baptiste; Soula, Gerard; and Eloy, Marie-Rose.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[0001] The invention concerns a hydrogel comprising the crosslinked dextran polymer of the invention and/or a hydrogel that further comprises biological cells. [0002] It also concerns therapeutic use of the hydrogel according to the invention for treating a disorder or disease in a mammal wherein the disorder or disease is due to lack or malfunction of endocrine function of pancreas organ and an implant comprising the hydrogel according to the invention. [0003] It also concerns an implant comprising hydrogel of the invention and further comprising a ring and a net."
