MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010413 A) filed by Innmats Private Limited, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, on Feb. 1, for 'hybrid polymer nano-coating for converting transparent glass into frosted, hydrophobic glass.'

Inventor(s) include Prakul Rakesh; Divya Priyadarshani; and Satya Ranjan Puhan.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hybrid polymer nano-coating for converting transparent glass into frosted glass is disclosed. The coating comprises a hybrid polymer matrix including polyurethane, polyurea, and polysilane components with dispersed nanoparticles. Upon curing on a glass substrate, the coating produces controlled optical haze while maintaining durable hydrophobicity and strong adhesion, without the use of hydrofluoric acid etching. The invention is suitable for architectural, decorative, and functional glass applications."
