MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518067341 A) filed by Sia Fixar-Aero, Riga, Latvia, on July 15, for 'hybrid fixed angle rotor unmanned aerial vehicle with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities.'

Inventor(s) include Lukashov, Vasilii; and Lobanov, Sergei.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system configured for Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL), comprising: an aircraft having: a pair of elongated arcuate drivetrain members, each having a basal end and an apical end and each defining a basal, mid, and apical inflection points, wherein each elongated arcuate drivetrain member further comprises a first VTOL rotor extending apically from the basal inflection point and a second VTOL rotor extending basally from the elongated arcuate drivetrain member between the mid inflection point and the apical inflection point; a fuselage; a structural member defining a longitudinal axis, having an upper surface and a basal surface, with a pair of lateral ends extending laterally from the fuselage and coupled to each of the elongated arcuate drivetrain members at each lateral end; and a pair of fixed wings, operably coupled to, and extending laterally from each elongated arcuate drivetrain members."

The patent application was internationally filed on June 15, 2021, under International application No.PCT/IB2021/055258.
