Inventor(s) include Vilabha Sachin Patil; Dr. Pravin B. Desai; Dr. Sachin S. Patil; Aditya Gaikwad; Aditya Patil; and Miss. Prerna Pravin Desai.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Hybrid Energy Harvesting System via Rotating Door and Kinetic Footing Platform This invention describes an integrated dual-source kinetic energy harvesting system configured for high-footfall architectural environments. The system combines a rotational entry door assembly and a pressure-responsive flooring platform to simultaneously capture mechanical energy from pedestrian-induced motion. Rotational torque from door movement is converted into electrical energy via a geared generator assembly, while compressive foot pressure on embedded tiles activates transduction elements to generate additional power. Both energy streams are routed to a centralized power conditioning and storage module for regulation, accumulation, and distribution to low-voltage applications such as lighting, sensors, and signage. The system operates passively, without requiring user intervention or external environmental inputs, and is designed for modular integration into commercial, institutional, or industrial entryways. By harvesting energy from everyday movement, the invention provides a scalable and eco-efficient solution for decentralized microgeneration and enhances sustainability in smart infrastructure systems."
