MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124531 A) filed by Beacontech Sports Private Limited, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'humidity-buffering composition and preparation process.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a composition (404) for maintaining humidity of a feather shuttlecock within an apparatus (100). The composition (404) comprises distilled water as solvent in a proportion of 40% to 70%. One or more polyols such as propylene glycol (22%-37%), glycerin (6%-18%), and sorbitol (12%-18%) in a cumulative amount of 20% to 40%, configured for two-way humidity buffering. At least one humectant comprises sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate and non reducing disaccharides in 0.1% to 6%. A modulator comprises urea (0.05%-0.3%) as keratin plasticizer, and L-cysteine (0.05%-0.3%) with TCEP-HCl (0.001%- 0.02%) as keratin stabilizers. A buffer of protein-compatible organic acid maintains pH between 5.0 and 6.0. A preservative such as phenoxyethanol is included at 0.1% to 0.5% for microbiological stability. The composition (404) is configured to maintain feather integrity, moisture balance, and structural preservation during storage and use."
