MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517048633 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on May 20, for 'hot-rolled steel sheet and method for producing same.'

Inventor(s) include Kosaka Noriaki; and Matsuda Hiroshi.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: a hot-rolled steel sheet having tensile strength (TS) of 780 MPa or more and having excellent workability; and a method for producing same. This hot-rolled steel sheet has an arbitrarily selected component composition of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Al, N, and Ti, wherein: ferrite is 95% or more in terms of area ratio of the metallographic structure; a carbide line including Ti and having a curved shape exists; the particle dispersion strengthened amount is 290 MPa or more; the stress increase ratio at a strain of 80% of constant elongation is 1200 MPa or more; and tensile strength is 780 MPa or more. This method for producing a hot-rolled steel sheet involves performing, for a steel material having the component composition described above in a heated or non-heated condition: a rough rolling step; a finish rolling step in which the starting temperature exceeds 1000 C, the rolling reduction in each of a first pass and a second pass is 35% or more, and the total rolling reduction from a third pass to the completion of rolling is 85% or less; a cooling step; and a winding step."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 19, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/033821.
