MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065520 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on July 9, for 'hot-rolled steel sheet.'

Inventor(s) include Yasutomi Takashi; Hattori Tatsuhiro; and Azuma Masafumi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This hot-rolled steel sheet has a prescribed chemical composition, and GAMS/GAMI is 0.70-1.05. In the metal structure at a position at 1/4 depth from the surface in the sheet thickness direction, the area ratio of a region in which the GAM value is greater than 0.6 is 50% or higher, the total of the area ratio of a region in which the GAM value is greater than 3.0 and the area ratio of retained austenite is less than 15%, and the standard deviation of the area average value of the GAM value of the crystal grains in a region from the surface to a depth of 200 m in the sheet thickness direction is 0.25-0.65."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 31, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/003020.
