MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517045546 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on May 12, for 'hot rolled steel sheet.'

Inventor(s) include Yoshitake Mutsumi; Shuto Hiroshi; and Ando Jun.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a hot rolled steel sheet which: has a predetermined chemical composition; contains 80 98% of at least one of ferrite and bainite in total and 2 10% of martensite in terms of areal percentage; has a metallic structure in which when a boundary having an azimuth difference of 15?? or more is defined as a grain boundary and a region surrounded by the grain boundary and has a circle equivalent diameter of 0.3 ??m or more is defined as a crystal grain the proportion of the crystal grain having an in grain azimuth difference of 5 14?? is 10 60% in terms of areal percentage; and has a surface roughness Ra of less than 1.50 ??m wherein a difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the surface roughness Ra is 0.50 ??m or less."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 06, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/043668.
