MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617012987 A) filed by Tsukishima Kikai Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Feb. 6, for 'horizontal-type rotary dryer.'
Inventor(s) include Ishii, Kenta; Nagano, Kazunori; Takahashi, Hiroki; Sato, Sumito; and Imamura, Takuya.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To provide a horizontal-type rotary dryer with which it is possible to regulate the filling rate of to-be-treated objects in a rotary cylinder. [SOLUTION] This horizontal-type rotary dryer 1 for resolving the problem is characterized by including: a rotary cylinder 10 that has a supply port 41 for supplying to-be-treated objects W on one end side ITS and a discharge port 50 for discharging the to-be-treated objects W on the other end side OTS, and is rotatable in the circumferential direction; a discharge pipe 51 connected to the discharge port 50 and provided at a center part of the other end side of the rotary cylinder 10; and a first scraping member 60 positioned at the other end side OTS of the rotary cylinder 10, rotating in the circumferential direction of the rotary cylinder 10, scraping up the to-be-treated objects W deposited in a lower part of the other end side OTS of the rotary cylinder 10, and guiding the to-be-treated objects W to the inside of the discharge pipe 51. The first scraping member is a variable scraping member with which it is possible to change the surface area of the front surface of the first scraping member with respect to the rotation direction of the first scraping member 60."
