MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003444 A) filed by Bml Munjal University, Gurgaon, Haryana, on Jan. 17, 2024, for 'home restraining system for children and pets.'
Inventor(s) include Chinmay Srivastava; Sheena Mittal; Akshay Katoch; Aakarsh Purwar; and Dr. Hirdesh Kumar Pharasi.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A home restraining system for children and pets, comprises of a platform 1 installed with a mat 2 via a pair of telescopically operated link 3 positioned outside door 4 of an enclosure 5 utilized by individuals for wiping foot/sole of footwear before entering the enclosure 5, plurality of weight sensors for detecting presence of living being on the mat 2, a camera 6 for detecting pet/children on mat 2, a motorized roller 10 installed at sides of mat 2 wrapped with a sheet 7 having free-end attached with telescopically operated rods 8 for enclosing the pet or children to prevent child/pet from moving the door 4, multiple motorized brushes 11 for scrubbing mat 2 and a suction unit 12 for collecting dust/debris from mat 2 which is collected into a chamber 13 arranged on the platform 1."
