MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517035185 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on April 10, for 'high strength hot rolled steel sheet and method for producing same.'

Inventor(s) include Hasegawa Hiroshi; Matsuda Hiroshi; and Tobita Shunsuke.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: a high strength hot rolled steel sheet having excellent toughness and also having excellent strength toughness and bendability after post heating; and a method for producing the high strength hot rolled steel sheet.???The high strength hot rolled steel sheet has a chemical composition comprising in % by mass 0.04 to 0.18% of C 0.1 to 3.0% of Si 0.5 to 3.5% of Mn more than 0% and 0.050% or less of P more than 0% and 0.010% or less of S more than 0% and 1.5% or less of Al more than 0% and 0.010% or less of N more than 0% and 0.003% or less of O 0.020 to 0.100% of Nb and a remainder comprising Fe and unavoidable impurities in which the steel structure contains bainite as a main phase retained austenite is contained in an amount of less than 3% by volume the ((solid solution Nb amount)/(total Nb amount)) ratio is 0.300 or more and less than 0.800 and the amount of Nb that is present in the form of precipitates each having a grain diameter of 100 nm or more is 0.010 to 0.030% by mass."
