MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133975 A) filed by Dr. Mahalingam College Of Engineering And Technology, Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'high-speed coir fiber pulverizer with integrated grinder using centrifugal force and air swirling mechanism.'

Inventor(s) include J. Dinesh Kumar; P. Govindasamy; and M. Jayaraj.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present inve~tion deals with a centrifugal, high-speed coir fiber pulverizer integrated with an inbuilt grinder by using the principle of centrifugal force and air swirling mechanism to overcome the inability of a conventional single-stage pulverizer to powder the coir fiber. With the help of this invention, grinding, centrifugal dispersion, and pneumatic recirculation may be done simultaneously within a single machine. This gives higher efficiency with reduced energy consumption, minimizes clogging, and gives uniform pulverized coir. The system is ideally used to process coir pith and produce organic fertilizers; also, it is used in various coir-based industrial applications."
