MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517022891 A) filed by Wattrii, Inc., Austin, U.S.A., on March 13, for 'high energy solid-state batteries and methods of making the same.'

Inventor(s) include Kim, Jangwoo.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Solid-state batteries that include an electrolyte, having an electrolyte material, where at least a portion of the electrolyte material is solid, and the solid portion of the electrolyte material includes a first chlorine compound, and a cathode that is in contact with the electrolyte, the cathode including a cathode active material, and where the cathode active material includes a second chlorine compound. The batteries can be economically packed and can provide high energy density."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 15, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/074378.
