MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617002199 A) filed by Fibertex Personal Care A/S, Aalborg, Denmark, on Jan. 8, for 'high cross-directional elongation nonwoven fabrics.'
Inventor(s) include Taidal, Lasse Kristoffer; and Udengaard, Brian.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to nonwoven sheets having high inherent cross-machine directional elongation, the sheets comprising two facing layers of spunbonded nonwoven material and a middle layer of meltblown nonwoven material, wherein the spunbonded material of the facing layers comprises crimped fibers, wherein the fibers of the meltblown material of the middle layer comprise a thermoplastic elastomer, and wherein the nonwoven sheet is underbonded. The invention also relates to a method of making such nonwovens, laminates comprising such nonwoven and an elastically stretchable material, and hygiene articles comprising such nonwoven sheets or laminates."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/073884.
