MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511112815 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 17, 2025, for 'high altitude cloud-seeding for precision precipitation induction.'
Inventor(s) include Sanjana Singh; Vanshika; Prajjwal Dobriyal; Utkarsh Sharma; Dr. Saroj Bala; and Aman Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A high altitude cloud-seeding for precision precipitation induction, comprises of an aerodynamically optimized body 101 developed for high-altitude operations, a set of multi-vector electric propeller-jet thrusters 102 to provide sustained lift, controlled maneuverability, and trajectory stabilization in thin-air environments, a multimodal sensor array 103 for real-time environmental detection and cloud classification, a seeding and dispersion module includes a plurality of pressurized agent reservoirs 104 for storing seeding compounds, an aerosol generation chamber 105 comprising micro-resistive heaters and piezoelectric nebulizers for producing fine particle aerosols, a directional ejection nozzle array 106 for dispersing aerosolized agents, a set of thermal management conduits, vibration-damping elastomeric mounts 107, and anti-static, anti-condensation coatings for maintaining operational integrity, sensor fidelity, and electronic reliability under extreme high-altitude conditions."
