MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517045982 A) filed by Boehringer Ingelheim International Gmbh, Ingelheim am Rhein, Germany, on May 13, for 'heterocyclic compounds capable of activating sting.'
Inventor(s) include Graham, Keith Andrew Newton; Carotta, Sebastian; Dahmann, Georg; Godbout, Cedrickx; Handschuh, Sandra Ruth; Missel, Timo; Nar, Herbert; Oost, Thorsten; Reiser, Ulrich; Schmidt, Esther; and Treu, Matthias.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I) which are capable of activating STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes). The present invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising at least a compound of formula (I), as well as the use of these compounds or the pharmaceutical compositions as a medicament, e.g., for treating canine or feline cancer, or as vaccine adjuvants."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 24, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/079580.
